collaboration

With 13 new SME deals, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK) is regionally stimulating small and medium-sized businesses. The € 7.5 million in total from the SME Action Plan gives municipalities and provinces more resources to do what SMEs need in their region. The second batch of SME deals starts today and is worth € 4.5 million.

SME deals are collaborations between municipalities and provinces to strengthen the broad SMEs. With the second batch launching today, the total comes to 22 SMB deals. This is an important action from the SME Action Plan, according to State Secretary Keijzer (EZK):

“Whether it concerns training professionals or strengthening knowledge networks: municipalities and provinces often know best what SMEs need in their own region. That is why I do not want to reinvent the wheel with the SME deals, but we give an extra push to what is already running. In this way, entrepreneurs from 22 regions throughout the Netherlands receive support that is tailored to them. ”

More knowledge sharing for SME

Innovation, international entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing are important themes within this group. For example, the Sm@rt Together SME deal helps companies in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region to digitize. Think of support in the use of digital channels for new sales markets or revenue models.

In the regio of De Peel, knowledge sharing about robotization and digitization appears to be a major challenge for entrepreneurs in the smart manufacturing industry. The project “Digital Peel” inspires and supports companies to share their knowledge and experiences. The future labor market is also being deployed here through internships and career orientation with the platform ‘Internship Region Helmond-De Peel’.
