Quantum Technology – an opportunity for me?

Are you curious about the Quantum ecosystem in Delft? Get insights and discuss in the impact of recent Quantum developments on Micro and Nano companies? And vice versa, how can MinacNed members contribute to the Quantum ecosystem? And what knowledge is required to contribute?

Don’t hesitate to register for this MinacNed meeting!

On June 26th, we will visit Delft. Together with QuTech, QBlox and TU Delft, we finetuned this limited scale, interactive event for organizations in micro-, nano- and semicon technology. We are happy to announce three key players in the Delft ecosystem to share their vision.

Date: 26 June 2024
Time: 13.00 (optional) or 14.00 – 17.00h
Location: Qblox – Delftechpark 22, Delft
Organized by: MinacNed, sponsored by Quantum Delta NL, QTindu and High Tech NL

Program

13.00h: Optional visit to Qblox
Prior to the event, Eric Kievit, COO of Qblox, invites you for a company visit. Take a look before you join the event.

14.00h: Start event

Eric Kievit, COO of QBlox | The value of an innovation ecosystem for fast growing spin-offs

Eric Kievit is COO of Qblox. Qblox is the sole providers of quantum control stacks that can be easily integrated with our customers’ quantum computers. The stacks combine unlevelled noise performance, low-latency arbitrary control flows and can be scaled up to 100s of qubits.

QBlox is an example of a fast-growing Quantum spinoff. Eric will discuss QBlox’s role in the ecosystem, paying special attention to cooperation with non-quantum companies and the supply chain. How does QBlox benefit from and contribute to the Delft Ecosystem? And what are the interdependencies of QBlox and non-quantum companies?

nico Hendrickx

Nico Hendrickx, researcher at QuTech and CTO of Groove | Quantum Computing: State-of-the-Art and Outlook

Nico Hendrickx is CTO of Groove, one of QuTech spin-offs with the ambition to bring a full stack, 16 qubit semiconductor-based quantum computer to the market mid-2025. He will update us on the highlights of Quantum Computing from both a technological and a market development point of view, using QuTech and Groove as guiding examples. He will also elaborate on Groove’s development roadmap and current make, buy or co-develop strategy.

Where, in which application/industry does ‘Quantum’ play a role today? And in the future? And what about Micro and Nano?

Urs Staufer, Professor at TU Delft, Department of Precision and Microsystems Engineering, MinacNed Board Member
Participating in the Quantum supply chain: Deep theoretical knowledge is overrated. What quantum theory knowledge is really needed to take part in the Quantum ecosystem? And how can professionals be trained to the right level?

After every presentation, there will be 15 minutes of debate with all participants.

End: 17:00 h, followed by drinks and networking opportunities.
